DESCRIPTION
The 5th generation mobile communication systeam (5G), which has begun to be introduced, uses carrier frequencies up to 70 GHz. In order to increase capacity beyond 5G, the next generation system (6G) will use higher carrier frequencies in the 120 GHz and 300 GHz bands. In 6G research and development, the transceiver with compound semiconductors and Si-CMOS technology are being developed, but OE conversion transmitters using photomixing are also being studied.
